Nisula 425C is a multipurpose harvester head equipped with gripper arms that make handling and sorting of timber effortless. The NCU3 control system adjusts the gripping force of the gripper arms on the shaft shaft, allowing a firm grip during felling, feeding and other operations.

When using the combined machine, the separate gripping arms also allow loading without changing the head. When the larger trees are felled and the heavier stems are handled, the gripper arms apply a strong grip to the stem. When feeding begins, the gripping force is reduced to minimize friction.

The control system has a diameter limit set for the use of the gripper arms during harvesting operations. If needed, settings can be adjusted via the control system, but usually the harvester head performs better at standard settings. New, more powerful traction motors increase feed capacity by 20% over the previous model.

The new machined front knives provide greater efficiency and duration of limbing, as well as a larger roughing diameter than the previous model C. 425C offers additional properties for thinning.
